It's a pleasant circular walk from Church Bridge. The route follows West Looe River before climb gently close to Muchlarnick for a nice view over hills and valleys.

Description

From Duloe, park your car at the car park on your left before the village (zig-zag road signpost).

(S/E) From the car park, go down the road, cross the bridge and turn left on the public footpath after the barrier.

(1) Follow this path along the West Looe river for 1 mile until a junction (large curve). Turn right, then a second time following up this rocky track. When you reach the top (several gates around you), go straight down the track until you cross a bridge (notice black handrails).

(2) Go past a "tower house", then you join Cobblers Cottage and the Treffany Inn at crossroads. Turn left, follow the road and bear left at the barrier when you reach a fork. Enter this open field, ascent the field close to the hedge (right side).

(3) Past the top of the hill, continue along the fence until you reach a stile. You enter another field where you can see horses. Follow arrows or posts painted in white (more or less straight along the left fence) until you reach another stile close to North Muchlarnick Farm.

(4) At the road, continue left and go ahead on the track when the road turns right (garages on the right as well). Descend this track becoming pretty steep and damaged by motor engines (can be very slippery when wet).

(5) After one kilometre, pay attention to the stile on your left in front of a large gate (no cycles sign). Go through this stile and follow this small path leading to a wooden footbridge. Past the bridge bear left onto the track. At the next fork ("unsuitable for motor vehicles" sign), keep the left side until you reach an old stone bridge.

(6) Don't cross the bridge but go up on the right for a few metres the path leading to a large track. Turn left onto this track along the river and go ahead until you are back to the car park.(S/E)

Using Garmin GPS device walk measured 10.32 Km. Pathway through Forested area (first couple of miles) heavily tractor tyre rutted and covered in tree branches meaning walking watching your feet placement. Stage 3 "until you reach a stile", style still exists but step over it into heavily overgrown sheep track through a hedge, then met by a 3 ft high steel wire fence and nowhere to go. Had to climb over fence to continue path. From the style until you are past Northlarnick Farm is not as described, assume farmer has added fences, gates and changed intended route through the farm. Stage 5 path (from style next to no cycle sign to wooden footbridge) barely exists, heavily overgrown with brambles.

Overall v poor walk and the picture you see associated with the walk is the 1 and only good view you get.
