Park your in Bibury car park close to the bridge in front of "The Swan Hotel".
(S/E) Head to the footbridge on your left, cross it and walk along the pavement on your right. Follow River Coln for 300 metres before you take Church Road (no-entry signs). This road bends left joining the crossroads with Cemetery Lane.
(1) Visit St Mary's Church for a quick way and return. Continue the street until you reach a small open grassland on your right. Go across and turn right in the next street for 50 metres before you bear left to a wooden gate. Go through it and go straight this track between tall stone walls. Then, turn right to the road leading to "the Mill House".
(2) Cross the bridge and go past the property (admire this beautiful architecture) until you reach a gate. Past the gate, continue straight the track along the stone wall for 700 metres.
(3) At the junction, bear left following the bridleway (with a blue arrow) in woods for half a mile before you cross a footbridge entering an open grassland.
(4) Past the footbridge, ignore the way leading to the woods in front of you but bear left heading to the river.
Walk this flat and grassy path along the river in a peaceful nature for almost one mile and a half.
(5) Before you reach a gate which leads to Coln St Aldwyns, bear right at the right angle ascending the open grassland surrounded by majestic trees (sequoïa, purple beech tree...). Follow the Palladian Way signs across beach trees.
(6) Then, you cross two fields, go past "Slait Barn B&B" following the public bridleway (blue arrow). After the second gate, you enter a large meadow. Go straight across ignoring the public footpath which goes right.
You finally reach Roman Road next to private property. Past this property, turn right to the track, go past a first copse on your right and continue for 600 metres before you reach a junction with Ash Copse.
(7) Leave the track which goes down but descend the path in the woods on your left. Past the gate, go straight across the open grassland heading to the footbridge far away. Cross the footbridge at (4) (you already used it) and take the path in the other way for half a mile.
(3) This time, leave the track you know on your right but turn left to the public footpath with a yellow arrow on your left. Walk this path along the edge of Oxhill Wood and fields until a junction with a curving track.
(8) Turn right, continue until the next junction with several public footpaths. Go straight and go through the gate in front of you. At the fork in the village, go down the driveway (Awkward Hill) on your right which leads to the famous Arlington Row. Notice that this row was built in the 14th century as a wool store!
(9) Enjoy this gorgeous architecture and take the footpath on your left across the Rack Isle which leads to the car park.(S/E)
