Crackington Haven and Pencannow Point
Cambeak from the South West Coast path
quiet path inland along the stream
Tremoutha Haven and Cambeak far away

Description

Park your car in Crackington Haven car park (close to "The Coombe Barton Inn").

(S/E) Cross the bridge in Mill Ball Hill on your left and turn right to the South West Coast path close to the beach (follow "Boscastle Harbour 6m").

(1) Go past a tennis court and turn right to the yellow arrow signpost. Then, go down steps and cross a footbridge. The coastal path overlooks Tremoutha Haven and Pencannow Point until you reach a junction with a white and yellow arrow. Go straight (yellow arrow) and ascend the steep zigzag path. At the top, the view of Crackington Haven Bay is gorgeous. Continue the path along the cliff and you will see the impressive Cambeak Head.

(2) After one mile one, you reach a signpost with a yellow arrow. Go down the path for 100 metres on your right ignoring "Trevigue car park 200yrds"(left side) and bear left at the second one leaving the way to "the Strangles" on the right.

(3) At the next junction signpost, bear left to the grassy path following the yellow arrow "to the road". Go across the open field until you reach the road. Cross over the road, go through a stile and go down the meadow heading to the signpost with the yellow arrow below.

(4) Cross the footbridge and go up the field (slightly right) heading to the gate and the farm building you catch sight of. Past the gate, skirt the farm left side and go down several open meadows still following yellow arrows walking along hedges until you reach woods when the path levels next to the stream.

(5) Cross the stream and go through the stile. Follow "Haven" (yellow arrow) and continue straight this flat peaceful path in woods along the stream for half a mile before you reach a junction signpost. Go straight still following "Haven" for almost one kilometre until you cross a footbridge.

(6) Past the footbridge, bear left following "Coast path". Cross another footbridge before the path joins a track and properties. When you reach the road, turn left and descend until Crackington Haven car park.(S/E)
