A superb walk in the Cuillins, with breathtaking views of the sea and a charming little Loch at the end.
The only challenging part is the end of the climb, where you need to climb up some scree for the last 300 metres.
Set out from the path behind the campsite toilets.
(D/A) From here, take the small paved path that climbs up in steps.
(1) Cross the dirt track and keep climbing up toward the mountains.
(2) From here, the climb becomes steeper and takes you over some scree. You can go around it a little to the right of the stream to stay on the rock more.
(3) You have reached the summit! You can admire Lochan Coire Lagan and the beautiful views of the sea. If you are feeling brave, you can even take a dip.
The return journey is back along the same path as on the way out. Be careful over the first 100m of descent (D/A).

really good walk
A short walk around the Fairy Pools, so you can see them from close up, followed by a tranquil walk in the valley, away from the crowds.
A very nice hike along the water and mountains in the Cuillin.
A very short, easy walk to do late afternoon (when most walkers have come back down off the mountain) so you can enjoy the silence and evening light.
