Park your car at Argal Reservoir car park.
(S/E) Head to the asphalt road next to the café, go down the track past Argal Coarse Fishery then cross Argal dam.
(1) Turn left onto the narrow path until you reach the main road. Caution, very busy road ahead!
Cross over the road, you enter College Nature Reserve, then glance at the information map. Follow this nice path with viewpoints close to the reservoir using a few footbridges.
(2) Past a few steps, walk at the water's edge until you reach College Reservoir dam. Go slightly down and turn right towards the stairs you can see close to wooden barriers. Continue up towards two blocks of stone and head to the stile (yellow arrow) in front of you at the signpost ignoring left and right tracks. Ascend straight this short but steep meadow and, at the top, go diagonally right to the corner until you reach another stile.
(3) Go up the track heading to a large gate and go past Tregonhaye farm until you reach a road. Cross over this road. Enter meadows past the stile and go straight across (slightly to the left corner) until you reach a few steps.
(4) Enter another field and go diagonally right passing under the power line (not easy to find your way) until you join three small rocky steps close to an entry field. Walk along the hedge, pass under the power line again until you reach a large metal gate and the road. Cross over this road, follow the public bridleway walking this private road.
(5) You go past houses, a farm and a company, then follow "exit" signpost and bear right at the fork following track. You are back to the traffic road, cross it over (be careful!), head to Argal dam, go up the way you used at the beginning to reach the car park.(S/E)
