(S/E) From Norton Lindsey Village Hall, go left (East) and downhill to turn left at the crossroads. Go along Brittons Lane up to the A4189.
(1) Turn right then left to cross the main road into Norton Curlieu Lane and continue to a T junction where you turn right.
(2) Then, turn left just before the motorway bridge. Turn right towards Hatton Station along Station Road, go over the motorway and continue straight on at the crossroads with B4439 along Mill Lane into Little Shrewley. Leaving the village, turn left on Stoney Lane.
(3) Go over the crossroads towards Mouseley End. Pass two roads to the right.
(4) Then turn left signed Rowington, continue over the main road (B4439) to pass the Tom o the Wood Pub on your left, and continue over the Grand Union Canal bridge along Finwood Road, over the motorway to Finwood and continue over the Stratford Canal bridge.
(5) Turn left into Lowsonford. Pass Fleur de Lys pub and turn right then immediately left into Rookery Lane, a narrow lane to Preston Bagot, pass a church and at a T juction(6) turn left and continue to the main road (A4189).
Go uphill right along Warwick Road and turn first left(7) onto Pettiford Lane, with fine views left.
This lane continues crossing the A3400 at(8) a Craft Centre/Tea Rooms.
Continue to Pennyford Hall and the river bridge with railway above. At the end turn left when you reach B4089 and go uphill and then downhill to follow the road round a sharp bend left.
: At the next bend(9) turn left and go over the river bridge and carry on along White House Hill until you see the cast iron aqueduct over the road.
(10) Go right up the steps at the far side of the aqueduct to get on the towpath and continue to the concrete bridge at Wilmcote where you return to the road. Go left out of the village past Pathlow Farm. Turn right at the A3400 then left uphill towards Snitterfield.
(11) Turn left by Brickyard Farm signposted Snitterfield, go into the village and turn right uphill at the crossroads.
(12) Then turn left onto Church Road just before the shop on your right. Continue to Norton Lindsey village and keep left at the New Inn.
(13) Go left at the old road sign showing ALCESTER to return to the start at Norton Lindsey Village Hall. (S/E)
