England Coast Path - Newbiggin to Cambois

This section of the England Coast Path begins at the Newbiggin Maritime Centre and then follows the promenade to the Needles Eye. After this the path continues to hug the coast where care needs to be taken as there is erosion here. The walk ends at North Blyth, an industrial area which includes the dock and mouth of the River Blyth if you wish to explore further.

This walk is part of a multi-day hike: England Coast Path - North East Section South Bents to Amble

(5) Cross the Weir on your left using the narrow footbridge and then turn left at the end walking back under the A189 and continuing along the riverbank. You will pass the Cambois Boat Club on your left and then some cottages, at the end of the cottages, go through the gap in the wall onto The Bucca turning right onto Cambois Farm road.

(6) Walk to the Charlton's Bar and car park, turn in here at the sign and take the footpath along the cliff tops passing two small car parks on the way, a pipeline runs from the second one across the beach.
Continue walking along the dunes until you reach a further car park, to your right is a railway bridge, walk underneath this to Cafe One, the end of the walk. (E)
