Description

(S) From Redcar and Cleveland College Bus Stop, walk west passing Locke Park on your right (you can walk through the park if you wish). Turn left into Kirkleatham Lane and cross the road.

(1) Enter Coatham Marsh nature reserve. The path splits here, the path to the right around the north side of the ponds can be boggy after wet weather, the path around the south is wider.
When these two paths meet, follow the path running parallel to the railway lines until you reach a footbridge on your right.

(2) . Cross the footbridge and continue to follow the footpath which bears around to the right. This path is shared with the Teesdale Way path and will eventually lead to Tod Point Road and the car park at Warrenby.

(3) At Warrenby Turn left onto Tod Point Road. Turn right at the roundabout.

(4) At the end of the road where it changes to South Gare Road take the ramp right indicated as a bridlepath down onto the golf course, look out for the yellow marker in the 1 o'clock position which will indicate the path across the golf course to the dunes.

(5) When you reach the dunes, turn right and follow the path through the dunes passing behind the caravan park until you reach Majuba road.

(6) Turn left and right and walk around Majuba car park.
Continue walking along this path until you reach the boating lake and bandstand where the pavement turns into the promenade.

(7) Continue walking along the promenade past the Redcar Beacon until you reach Zetland Park roundabout, follow the main road to Zetland Park. (E)
