I've been thinking about doing winter munro bagging this winter. When I look up winter hill walking a lot of websites recommend taking a rope. Ok, fair enough, but in what way are they saying I should use it? I wont be ice climbing or anything like that. Does it mean I should be taking geat like ice screws up the hill with me to put protect in?!? I doubt I'd be doing very steep slopes. Or does it mean tying a rope between me and my fellow walker? As you can see I'm confused.com so any advice would be much appreciated.
