(S) From Henley-on-Thames station walk 30 metres to Station Road. Turn right and walk to the river, then at the river turn left and walk to the bridge. Turn right and cross the bridge. Cross the road, then turn left along a lane that runs to the left of the Little Angel pub.(1)
Follow the lane around the bends and look for a footpath sign on your right. Cross the field aiming to the left of the big house. Take the right fork (2) and cross the field to the woods. Continue straight until you reach the road. Turn left along the road, then after a few metres turn right and cross the field.
(3) To go to the Flower Pot pub, take a left fork and at the road turn right. The Flower Pot is on your left.
From the pub follow the road up the hill and take the first left. Keep left and head across the fields with the Thames on your left and a big house on your right.
After the house follow a footpath sign to the right (4) and head through a small wood. Pass to the right of a mausoleum and follow the signpost to go to the right, down then up across the deer park. At the top of the hill, turn around to see across the Chilterns. In the distance you can see the Golden Ball at West Wycombe. At the top of the hill turn left and head to the houses.
Turn right and walk along the back gardens (5) Head down the steep hill and at the road take a sharp right then left to take you back to Henley by The Little Angel and retrace your steps back to the station.
