(S/E) Start from the square "champ de foire" in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye.
Head toward the fire station on on the far end of "Champ de Foire". Leaving the station to the right, take the path going along a pond on the right-hand side. Carry on until you reach the D955 which links Saint-Amand and Cosne-sur-Loire (1).
Cross this road and follow the path on the other side heading behind the gardens and houses.
After a short walk through the trees you'll reach the D2 between Saint-Amand and Saint-Vérain. Take a left and walk along this road for about 400 meters and then turn right.(2) taking the first path that you come across.
Keep heading along the path amongst fields, hedges and different species of trees taking time to admire the scenery.
At the next crossing (3) cross the D955 linking Saint-Amand to Cosne-sur-Loire, go straight ahead until you reach the small municipal road, then take the path opposite leading to "La Vrille"river.
Go through "La Gaularde", a passage between the stream "Ruisseau des Prés Pillon" and "La Vrille" river, carry on over the footbridge reaching the D957.
(4) Carefully turn left until you reach the second path to your right (5) take it.
Head up towards the GR3G (6) where you turn right and walk through "Les Lamberts" hamlet. Walk straight on until you reach the path heading downhill. Cross the first road and carry on the other side.
Ignore the start of the path on your left and carry straight on to cross a second road.
On the other side head through a small wood and cross "La Maladrerie" stream with its wash house, reaching the D2 (7)
Turn right towards the "Champ de Foire" of Saint-Amand where you started from.
