Description

(S/E) This walks starts in the small car park on Church Lane. Follow the route along Congleton Road and turn right into Bradford Lane. Continue up the hill and then turn right, following the footpath towards Finlow Hill Lane. This part of the path has a pleasant open aspect and good views across the Cheshire Plain.

(1) Once into Finlow Hill Lane, turn right and follow the path along the ridge with some beautiful views across the valley.

(2) Turn right into Slade Lane and then turn right at Hocker Lane at the bottom of the hill. There are some fine views towards Goostrey and Jodrell Bank from here. Hocker Lane has some lovely houses to view and runs behind the very private parkland of AstraZeneca.

(3) Turn left at Bradford Lane and walk down to Congleton Road.

(4) Cross Congleton Road and take the footpath on the right at Sand Lane around to the back of St. Mary’s Church. Take the path through the church back into Church Lane and back to the start of the walk.(S/E)
