(S/E) From the front door, turn left along the road to Old Baths car park. Follow the tarmac path beyond the car park, then turn right up a hedged path.
(1) Cross the old railway bridge and turn immediately right onto the Wirral Way. Follow the Way for ¾ mile (passing under Boathouse Lane after 600 yards).
(2) Before a footbridge over a road, turn left off the Way, then turn right under the bridge. Pass the primary school (on your left) and Moorfield Drive, Hawthorn Road and Bowring Drive (to your right), then turn left into a metalled path between gardens on the left. Follow this dead straight path (the Ropewalk, so-called because ropes were once manufactured here) past a children’s play area.
(3) At the end, you meet a road. Walk out to the main road, where you turn right. Walk past the cricket ground and down to The Parade.
(4) Turn right and walk along the Parade to return to the Boathouse.(S/E)
