(1) After passing the stile (remember this stile because this is your return way! at Grid ref. SX 436 489),turn left (East) on the coastal path until you reach a curve. Bear, right (West) heading to Penlee point.

(2) Above the point, walk down a little below the coastal path, you will discover Queen Adelaïde's grotto, built in 1827 to commemorate the visit of King William IV and Queen Adelaïde to Mount Edgcumbe. After visiting, go back to the paved track and walk North (with the water on your right-hand side) until you reach a fork with a bench in woodlands. Bear right on the path heading to Pier Lane into Cawsand.

(3) Turn right towards the village square. From this square, go up the road on the right of "Cross keys inn" and quickly turn left in St Andrew's street.

Head to Rame Head you can already catch sight of, then climb steps. Climb the one-way path leading to the medieval, (your now have the water on your right-hand side) chapel if you want to enjoy these panoramic views!

(9) From this point, go down and continue the coastal path right during almost 2 miles until you reach the starting stile (from waypoint (1)) on your left (Car park signpost with green arrow. Climb this last slope and you are back to the car park.(S/E)

Hi Tunni92,
Thank you for taking the time to give this feedback. I am going to get in touch with the author to see how we could improve the directions. It is something I will keep in mind as I moderate the next walks.

Also, the walk was created in 2020 so maybe some changes occurred. Feel free to suggest any description that could be better to follow for the next walker ?

Enjoy your walks

Kind regards

Tunni92

The author uses the expression ‘go past’ when referring to a stile or gate when he/she actually means go over or through. He/she makes no reference to distance from one point to another. Immediately out of the car park we went wrong as no mention of a stile to the left of the path which appeared to be the route. Didn’t realise this until we returned to the car park at end.
All walks by this author should be reviewed as expression go past has no meaning!
