Three Churches at Fleet and Gedney - Lincolnshire

Interesting walk based around three churches in this fenland part of the country. Starting at Fleet Hargate and the Fleet Baptist Church this forms the basis of the short walk, but is extended by country lane south of Fleet and then following Delph Bank to rejoin the shorter walk close to Gedney.
Matmore Gate to Springfields via Coronation Channel Spalding

This easy short walk along the Coronation Channel has many water birds to observe, Crested Grebe, Ducks, Swans, Herons sometimes Cormorants. Springfields is a major shopping outlet has all the facilities, coffee shops and lovely gardens to take a short break.
Coronation Channel was created in 1953 following major flooding of Spalding following heavy rains rising River Welland coupled with a very high tide, so this relief channel was dug.
Tulip Queen Circular Spalding

Surfleet circular via Surfleet Seas End

Nice walk for when it is poor underfoot. Starting at great pub "Riverside Hotel", following River Glen by Spalding Golf course, crossing river at the lock to sea. Returns down quiet lanes to Surfleet.
Birchgrove Garden Centre Pinchbeck to Surfleet and return via river Glen

This short walk starts and ends at Birchgrove Garden Centre on the B1356 at (PE11 3XY).
The route to Surfleet church is on quiet country roads. The return is mainly following the river Glen along the Macmillan Way, finally returning back via urban road.
Surfleet via Peter Seadike Lane to Surfleet Bank return via Macmillan Way

This walk uses quiet country lanes with open vistas across agricultural fields to arrive at river glen by Surfleet Bank and the sea lock. Follows Macmillan Way through golf course and delightful river Glen. passing under the A16 and continues along river to crosses over river to return to village hall.
Nar Valley Way - Kings Lynn to Narborough

A walk following the River Nar from its outlet to the River Ouse up to Narborough. It starts along the quayside at Kings Lynn with all its fascinating historic buildings. The path soon heads out into open countryside following the river across this open landscape. Big skies. Views for miles and little in the way of civilisation until Narborough is reached.
Lincolnshire Coast Path - Boston to Wrangle

A beach walk from Boston to Wrangle. An alternative route to the coastal defence banks that provides a change to the marsh views. Open flat farmland, tiny hamlets, large churches and plenty of pubs along the way. Not strictly part of a coast path but this route roughly follows the coast of medieval times when Wrangle boasted the third largest harbour along this section of coastline.
Chatteris Airfield Circular Walk

A walk along the Forty-foot drain looping up around the airfield, the route is via public footpaths apart from the last 400m which is along the road.

A beach walk from Wrangle to Wainfleet. An alternative route to the coastal defence banks that provides a little more interest. Open flat farmland, tiny hamlets and a long straight footpath that was once thought to have been a Roman road. The end of the walk is at Batemans Brewery where a worthy reward of some handsome ale can be purchased in this unique setting within the confines of an old windmill.
Old Hunstanton to Thornham by the Coast Path

The Norfolk Coast Path provides excellent walking and this linear route is easy to follow. Return to the start uses the excellent "Coast Hopper" bus service along the main road. The landscape is varied and in season you will have the opportunity to see a variety of sea birds.
