You need to use the car park at the Chartreuse de La Verne at the end of the D214.
Take the track in the direction of the Chartreuse.
When you get to the esplanade, take the rising track to the right.
This track climbs through trees until a junction at(1)
Turn left then immediately right on this unpaved road.
When you get to a junction, take the trail opposite(2) which rises.
Be careful here, the trail is very poorly marked and there are wild boar about , but it is splendid.
This trail descends through trees and giant heather before you get to (3).
Turn right on this track. Further on, when you get to the ruins, turn left on the GR90(4). Please note that this is poorly marked.
Arrive at a wide track at(5) Turn right to get to a lake called the "Grand Noyer" (large walnut).(6)
Return back on the trail in the opposite direction to get to the junction at(5) and climb to the right until (7)
At this junction, turn left, ignoring the next trail and the track to the left.
Continue on this rising track and admire the view of the sea and forest.
Arrive at (8) and take the track to the right.
Stunning view of the Gulf of St Tropez(9).
At the junction, take the right-hand track under the chestnut trees in the direction of La Chartreuse.
Return to the car park.
