A walk through gorges is always pleasant, and in those of Méouge it's a real joy.
Description
In Laragne, take the Ribiers road, then turn right in the direction of Châteauneuf-de-Chabre; there, turn right in the direction of the Gorges de la Méouge. Park in the large car park of the Roman bridge (S).
Descend on the GRP with JR route markets (Jaune Rouge - Yellow Red), cross the bridge (1) to then follow a series of climbs/descents remaining on the GR. The numerous markers will guide you to an intersection of paths.
There, turn right (2) on the descending GR (yellow markers). Cross the small river before joining the Route Saint-Pierre-Avez (3).
Turn right staying on the road. Cross the Méouge over the bridge, turning right after 200m before turning left on the PR (4) which via Côte Chaude joins a forest track (5) then a road that you follow, and finally the village of Pomet (6).
Remain on the road until you get back to the car park.

Useful Information
Water-filling points are rare, and there is one spring that comes out of the ground just after a small stream after Côte Chaude. There is also a fountain in Pomet but it seems that the water isn't good at the moment.

During the walk or to do/see around
A fantastic circuit in the Mediterranean countryside. This up-and-down circuit requires careful attention in places. Effectively, one path has eroded and a short detour is needed, particularly for people who suffer from vertigo. This detour of a few dozen metres is completely safe.
If you're lucky you might see hang-gliders landing the landing area close to the path. These take off from the opposite summit, the Montagne de Chabre.
