Valais day 6: Gruben - Grachen
Today's stage is divided into three: from Gruben to Jungu by foot, Jungu to Saint-Niklaus by cable car and Saint-Niklaus to Grachen by coach.

Description
Start heading north-east when leaving the hotel, the trail turns into an intense slope and rapidly heads through a forest (S).
Exit the forest when you see the Gruobu Mittelstafel chalets (1). Further uphill, head along the Gruobu Oberstafel chalets, high point 2370 (2). Keep heading in a steady eastern direction, walk alongside a small lake before ending with a good uphill hike to a pass called Augstbordpass (3).
Start a long downhill hike, reaching high point 2454 change of ridge (4) a break gives you the opportunity to take in the view of the valley reaching Zermatt at the foot of the Cervin.
Keep going downhill towards the Jungu alpine hamlet (5).
Take the cable car down towards Saint-Niklaus (6). Then head for Grachen (8) on the postal bus.
