Description

Park your car at St Just-in-Roseland Church car park.

(S/E) Go through the main gate, lose your way in the garden going down winding paths through the bamboos and along streams towards the church.

(1) Go past the church heading to the junction next to the bench in memory of Harriet Jane Wilkinson in front of the church. Turn right onto the permissive path along the creek which leads to the boatyard. Go past Pasco's boatyard, Ignore the road which goes up on your left. Continue straight ahead ("St Mawes 2m" signpost), follow the driveway bending left and quickly bear left to the gate before the private property (Churchtown Farm National Trust).

(2) The path runs along the River Fal (ignore the path which leads the beach).

(3) You go across several fields, climb a few steps, cross a footbridge, then go through gates until you reach a characteristic one with Tregear Vean National Trust sign. Past this gate, follow the path which goes diagonally left across the open field until you see on your left a brown arrow. Climb the steep path in woods (then blue arrow) until you reach the main road. Don't cross it but go through the stile on your left and continue in the open field along the hedge. Enjoy views overlooking the estuary!

(4) At the end of the fields, you join another stile next to the road. Go through it and turn left onto the small footpath between hedges ("St Just 1/2m" signpost). Enter again another field, go across the field close to the left hedge until you reach yellow arrows. Go straight down onto the small path between hedges which leads to Churchtown mill driveway. Cross over the driveway, follow the path bending right along the road until you reach this road which leads to your car.(S/E)
